About Me!

by Chanda @ 6:51 pm

Extase 6-24-08This summer is my fourth quarter at Cascadia.   I am part of the thirty-something crowd returning to college to enrich my career, but find my sense of self to reap the greatest benefit.  As my studies require a great deal of attention, my boyfriend, Ed, supportively attends to the loose ends that occur in a typical suburban American household.   I have a thirteen year-old daughter, Kaitlyn, who enjoys watching my study hours surpass her own exponentially.  Our dog, on the other hand, has found my focus to be misguided.  Mason, one very spoiled King Charles Cavalier, seems to feel that attention spent outside of his realm of consciousness is purely wasted.

I was born and raised in Snohomish County, WA, though I spent a few years living in El Paso, TX and Colorado Springs, CO in my early twenties.  I have always been involved in horses, and have recently found a deeper connection to my passion through the sport of dressage.  Outside of my full-time job as the book keeper for a thriving feed store in Snohomish and studying for two classes each quarter, I strive to achieve personal goals in the saddle.  My efforts in riding are based on competitive goals in the show ring, while my educational goals include a transfer to UW Bothell to earn my business degree with the newly available accounting option.  I look forward to working with everyone this quarter in Multicultural Communication!

I’m so proud of you for pursuing your education.
